I last wrote about my skin care routine back when I first stared my blog, which is well over a year ago now. So, I definitely thought it was time for an update. Especially as I have found a brand that my skin really loves, therefore simplifying my life to no end. I don't dread searching for a new moisturiser or have nightmares over changing cleansers. I know that if I need anything I can pretty much trust that anything from Kiehl's is going to be great.
As I have said previously my skin can be pretty unruly most of the time, I have combination skin and still get breakouts, even though i'm nearly hitting 30.
So, I try to take my skin care seriously.
I start every morning by cleansing my skin and I either do this with the Kiehl's ultra facial cleanser or if I am in a rush I use the Garner skin active micellar water on a cotton pad.
I always tone my skin after cleansing and I use the Kiehl's ultra facial toner, this re-hydrates my skin after cleansing and prepares it for serums and moisturisers.
Currently I am using Boots Botanicals radiance concentrate serum, to brighten up my dull completion, I then follow that up with my Kiehl's ultra facial moisturiser with SPF 30. I always try to put an SPF on, even in the Winter months.
I do not tend to use a moisturiser at night, instead I use my Balm Balm 100% Rosehip serum, which I have raved on and on about, but it is just so good!
Twice a week I use a scrub to get rid of all the dead skins cells so they do not clog up my pores. I am using the Elemis skin buff, which I enjoy as it's not too harsh on the skin. I also then go in with a mask on the days that I scrub, (just so that I remember to do it). At the moment I am using the L'Oreal Paris pure clay detox mask, and it seems to be doing the trick.
I hope you have enjoyed this updated skin care routine, as always if you have any recommendations of products you have been loving please let me know,
