MAKE-UP HAUL AND REVIEW.

I do love a good perusal around a beauty hall and can always come up with an excuse to go into Boots, and last weekend was no different.
I was out shopping with my Mum for Mothers day and couldn't resist picking up a few things for myself too.

My Mum is a massive Boots No7 fan, especially their skincare range, so whilst she was picking up her usual Protect and Perfect, I spotted this glittery beauty on the shelf. I didn't really need a new Mascara but thought it was too pretty not to get.
I love that it has fibre brushes and it applies very nicely, making my lashes look thick and full of volume. What I did not love was that within an hour, it had smudged down under my lower eyelid. Now, I know it isn't a waterproof mascara but I would have expected it to stay put a bit longer than that. Unfortunately, I personally feel this wasn't a great purchase and probably won't use it again.

This product on the other hand, is lovely. So easy to use, you just glide it onto the skin in the parts you want to illuminate and viola, your a highlighted goddess!
I use this on the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, on the cupids bow of my upper lip and I also use it to highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes.
It again doesn't last all day but it does last a good few hours, so great if your going out somewhere nice for lunch or tea, but may need a top up if going to an all day event.

I have always wanted a nice nude lipstick but was very wary of going to light and washing myself out. I have coveted after the YSL lipsticks for a long time, as the packaging is just beautiful and I have heard great things about the formulas.
I went to the counter in Debenhams and spoke to the lovely lady there, who helped me pick out my perfect nude colour. I got the Rouge Pur Couture in 70, it doesn't dry out my lips and stays put for ages, I absolutely love it. I have been wearing it non-stop since I purchased it and have had a few lovely comments as well.

This my selfie wearing the YSL lipstick, what do you guys think?

Thanks for checking out my new post, until next time,

Victoria x
