I have had my Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet now for years. I still absolutely love it, but it has been through the ringer a lot and has a few battle scars to prove it.

I therefore thought it was time to purchase/invest in a new wallet and I was looking around for one that I liked and that I knew would last. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that had no durability or even something that was so 'in Vogue' that the minute I bought it, it would be out of fashion again. I wanted something classic and timeless that would go with all my handbags or look nice being carried on it's own.
My first thought for classic and timeless was most definitely Mulberry. I love all their pieces and from talking to some of my friends who own Mulberry bags or wallets, I knew that it was something that would last.
I had a look online at some of the designs they had, to get an idea of the shape and style I wanted and what colours they stocked but was struggling to justify spending that amount of money on a wallet.
I knew I was travelling to see me family in North Wales just before Christmas, so my Mum suggested we try Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet as there was a Mulberry shop there.
I am so happy we made the trip there as I found this little beauty in the shop and it was a 3rd less than the wallets I was looking at online.

It is a genuine Mulberry wallet but just not this seasons, which for me was absolutely fine as I was looking for a more classic piece that didn't break the bank.
I chose the Continental Wallet in the colour Taupe with the soft grain leather. It has the metal Mulberry heritage plaque in silver on the front and has to two popper closures.

Inside, it has two main compartments and then 3 smaller compartments for your notes or receipts. There is a lovely zip compartment in the middle for loose change and then 10 card holder slots, which is great for all my points cards. There is also a zip compartment on the back of the wallet.
I am in love with this wallet and it makes me smile every time I get it out to pay for anything. I am also finding myself becoming a little obsessed with keeping it neat and tidy, but that can only be a good thing, can't it?

Anyway, hope you enjoyed looking at my new baby and I would recommend anyone to go to the Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet near Chester. They have amazing brands there for a lot less than normal retail prices. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area, they even have a website, so you can see which shops you want to visit before you go.
