For ages I was struggling to find a full coverage foundation that didn't make me look and feel caked in make-up. I have acne scars and blemishes, and also discolouration on my face, so was really needing a good solid base to cover all these problems areas but still leave me looking like me and not a clown.
I was already using the Double Wear concealer, which I loved, not only for it's coverage but also for it's staying power. So, thought I would try the foundation.
I love the glass bottle, I think it really gives it a heavy, sophisticated look, I do not love the fact it doesn't come with a pump. I try to pour a small amount onto the back of my hand, but I always end up pouring way too much. However, that really is my only bug bear, as this foundation is truly lovely.
I wear the shade 1W1 Bone in the foundation and 1W Light for the concealer, and with 29 different shades to choose from, I'm sure theres a good match for everyone.
I apply this too my face with my ring finger but then blend it in using the Real Techniques Expert face brush, it is quite a thick consistency, so it does take a few minutes to really blend it into the skin but once it's there, trust me it's not going to budge until you choose to remove it.
A lot of other foundations I have used tend to sink into my skin or slide off, but this stays on and still looks good when I come to wash it off at the end of the day. I do sometimes set it with a setting spray or powder, but only tend to do this if I am getting dressed up, for day to day use I do not bother and do not really need too. I do always wear a good primer first though, which helps it stay on my skin and gives me more of a flawless finish.
I feel a lot more confidant in myself knowing that my blemishes are hidden and don't have to worry about touching up throughout the day, which is great for days when I am at work and don't have the time.
If you are in need for a good full coverage foundation I do recommend you give this a try, you can purchase it from Boots online or in store if your Boots has an Estée Lauder counter.
Thanks again for reading take care,
